Compassionate Care

Dr. Warren Volker is the co-founder of the largest private OB/GYN practice, of Women’s Specialty Care, LLLP in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Volker is an assistant professor in the department of family/community medicine at the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine; he was previously the Director of Research in the Department of OB/GYN. He currently is the president and medical director of Volker Medical Research Foundation, Inc. which emphasized on the continuance of active research to improve women’s health. Dr. Volker is also the Director of The Minimally-Invasive Surgery Program at Southern Hills Medical Center in Las Vegas.

 Dr. Volker works with industry and academic centers teaching and providing preceptorships in advanced pelvic, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Volker has numerous peer-reviewed articles in the topics of bleeding disorders in women, methods to decrease prenatal transmission of HIV, and molecular mechanisms involved with breast cancer development.

Dr. Volker remains busy giving lectures around the country on numerous women’s health issues at such top medical centers as UC-Davis, Arnold Palmer Women’s and Children’s (Orlando Regional Medical Center), and UCLA. He has been the clinical director in Las Vegas for the STOP-DUB multi-center surgical trial. This study continues to follow women who either underwent hysterectomy or endometrial ablation.

Dr. Volker is a diplomat of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and completed his residency training at the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine. He holds many advanced certifications in advanced surgical techniques. He holds both an M.D. and Ph.D., graduating with honors from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He published most of his work and his dissertation research looked at the function of protein tyrosine genetic activation in breast cancer development. He was the recipient of the prestigious National Leadership Award in Medicine and Business. He also has numerous peer-reviewed publications, is a preceptor for Ethicon Women’s Health and Urology, Olympus Instruments and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals

Aside from practicing medicine and performing research, Dr. Volker is involved with numerous projects that are advancing the delivery of medicine. Dr. K. Warren Volker has attained international visibility and respect as one of a small number of board certified OB/GYN’s in the United States who also specializes in biochemistry and molecular biology. Dr. Volker has a passion for improving women’s health with compassionate care practices, and the most up to date technologies and research; he is a Minimally-Invasive Surgeon and performs Advanced Pelvic Surgery.
