Meet Tina Phyfer, A.P.N.

Tina Phyfer, APN is currently a practicing Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in Las Vegas, NV. Tina has a passion for educating, inspiring and caring for woman through all stages of their lives. After 8 years as a neo-natal intensive care nurse, Tina decided to continue her training at UNLV for Healthcare Administration and UCLA Harbor for her advanced practice training in women's health. Tina has a knowledge, compassion and resources to address the unique needs of woman today.
"I never take for granted, what women may or may not know, that can be intimidating," states Tina. "I want to partner with my patients, that's my role. I want woman to understand their bodies and how to prevent many illnesses."
Tina has been friend and colleague of Dr. Volker's for over 10 years. Working closely together on many programs and projects including fertility programs, adolescent health, early breast cancer screening HALO, and minimally invasive surgery.

Tina also founded PHLY in 2000, a high school based program to address the health education needs of students in Las Vegas.
Program for Health Literate Youth "PHLY". The goal is to educate and empower adolescents to respect themselves and make responsible choices regarding their health and safety.
