Meet Maryann Cope
Maryann Cope, RNC/APN is currently a practicing Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in Las Vegas. With over 33 years of medical experience, Maryann brings an abundance of knowledge from the ER, senior health and family practice. But it is women's health that serves best as her passion, she finds it the most fulfilling and extremely rewarding. Recently joining the Women's Specialty Care team, Maryann has quickly become one of Dr. Volker's closest and most reliant confidants. "I love working with Dr. Volker," states Maryann. "He is such a caring and fantastic physician and I have come to see why his patients love him so much."
Maryann earned her AA/RN from San Bernardino Valley College, and she earned her BSN/FNP from Sonoma State University. She is licensed with the Nevada State Board of Nursing-RN and the Nevada State Board of Nursing-APN. Maryann is also a member of the Nevada Nurses Association and SART.
"I love working with women in all stages of their lives," states Maryann. "I feel that educating them and helping them learn about their bodies with compassion is extremely important." Although this love and compassion for people has grown over her years in the healthcare profession, it stems directly from her family- her husband John of 25 years, and her three children Lucas (24), Caitlin (21), and Matthew (18). With her children now all in college, Maryann devotes herself to her work with Dr. Volker and the occasional creative hobby of sewing, painting, stained glass and reading. And if given the chance, you will find her happily traveling the world via a cruise ship.
Maryann has found her home in Las Vegas for over 25 years and is still amazed at the growth she has come to see and the changes that continue in this once small town. In fact, she is extremely excited to be a part of the future in Women' Healthcare that is being pioneered in Las Vegas with Dr. Volker at the helm. Minimally Invasive Surgery, a passion of Dr. Volker's has recently found its roots right here in Las Vegas with the AIMIS (American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery). With Maryann and the rest of his team by his side, she is excited to see the future of Women's Healthcare to come.
