Vision for the Surgical Research & Training Institute of Nevada (SRTIN)
The SRTIN Center for Surgical Advancement exists to transform healthcare by uniting the efforts of researchers/entrepreneurs, medical device companies, and surgeons to meet the needs of patients and society. This will be achieved by developing, incubating, and disseminating next generation surgical knowledge, technology, and techniques to the global surgical community.
Minimally Invasive Surgical Institutes - Dr. Volker is working with nationally recognized and leading surgeons from around the country to develop a world-class Surgery Institute to be located in the Las Vegas, Nevada called the American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery (AI MIS). The Ethicon-Endo Surgical Company (a Johnson & Johnson Company, Inc.) along with Ethicon University is promoting the center to become a nationally recognize institute for surgeons from all across the country to learn minimally invasive surgical procedures. Once physicians attend the AI MIS course, they will become an AI MIS Center of Excellence Affiliate with all the tools and knowledge necessary to move into this ever growing field of surgical procedures.
One of the founding Centers of Excellence the Las Vegas Minimally Invasive Surgical Institute (LV MIS), headed by Dr. Volker. Upon completion, LV MIS will also find its home at SRTIN. Currently patients can receive minimally invasive surgery at the hospitals that Dr. Volker performs surgery.
